Why the Mentor Pool Development program?
For building a sustainable pipeline of innovation and startups from universities, there is a need to fill the significant gap in the availability of mentors/coaches with the right knowledge, skills, and traits. We need coaches and mentors in all cities and within campuses. The launch of this program is just a humble beginning.
When and where?
You can choose the right batch based on your location of regular presence!
Note: Applications are currently open for the 4th batch in Sylhet. The Mentor Bootcamp for this batch is scheduled to take place from July 18 - July 20 at the UIHP Innovation Hub, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Interested participants are encouraged to apply now.
What is in the program?
The total commitment to join the program is 86 hours over a period of 13 weeks.
Do you possess the following traits? Then this program is for you.
Ability to set goals and have a sense of accountability.
Capability of active listening.
Have confidence and positive motivation.
Have keen observation ability.
Having Empathy.
Ability to build rapport.
Structured.
Have active curiosity.
How do we select the potential members of the coaching/mentoring pool?
The selection criteria for potential coaches/mentors are:
Have the above-mentioned skills and traits
Experience in teaching/ coaching/ mentoring/ training
Understanding of various methods of teaching/training/coaching/mentoring.
Having successful or failed business experiences will be an advantage.
