Best_Trio, a dynamic group of young engineers, is making strides in the field of machine learning and AI-based solutions. With a humble beginning at their university, they have come a long way to turn an initial idea into a real-world product. Led by Sazid Hasan, the team includes talented members Ziharul Islam Rifath, Khondokar Radwanur Rahman, Nazmul Haq Nakib, and MD Raihanul Haque Rahi. Together, they are shaping the future of AI technology with the support of the University Innovation Hub Programme (UIHP).
The journey of Best_Trio began with two individuals who were passionate about technology and innovation. They researched their initial concept but soon realized that to move from theory to reality, they needed a diverse team of experts. As a result, they brought on board two machine learning specialists who became the core drivers of their project. Additionally, they recruited a software engineer to help bring their ideas to life.
"We started with just two people, but we knew we needed more expertise to create something functional. That's how we brought in machine learning specialists and eventually a software engineer. Despite the technical focus, our team members showed incredible adaptability, stepping into roles like graphic design and market research," shares Sazid Hasan. "I adore my team—they are the reason we've come this far."
The idea for Best_Trio’s startup was born at a university poster presentation, where the team first worked on their concept. Although they didn't win the competition, it was the spark that led them to pursue their idea further. Their breakthrough came when they entered the Smart Innovation Challenge hosted by the Rajshahi City Corporation, where they won third place. This gave them the confidence to refine their low-thrust engine concept.
Their journey took a new turn when they discovered the University Innovation Hub Programme (UIHP) and registered for its first cohort. "Before UIHP, we had little knowledge about startups, but the program gave us a clear vision. We now know exactly what to do next," the team shared. With newfound clarity and pre-seed investment from the program, Best_Trio is now ready to move forward with their project.
For the members of Best_Trio, hearing their name called out during announcements was an exhilarating experience. It wasn’t just recognition for their work—it was a validation of their dedication and effort.
"I get this huge, pleased feeling whenever I hear our team’s name being called out," said Sazid. "It feels like a personal achievement because our team, Best_Trio, is like an extension of myself."
The joy and pride felt by the team were amplified by the challenges they had overcome to reach this point, reinforcing their motivation to continue striving for success.
With pre-seed funding secured, Best_Trio is now focused on the next steps for their startup. Their immediate priorities include:

Establishing an online presence by purchasing a domain and launching their website.

Developing a working prototype of their solution to demonstrate its real-world potential.

The team also shared that the personal connection with two of their mentors, who were alumni of the same university (RUET), made it easier to discuss even the smallest issues.
