Khulna, Bangladesh - The University Innovation Hub Program (UIHP), an initiative of the Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development (DEIED) Project under the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA), officially launched its online registration today at Khulna University. The opening ceremony took place at the Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Conference Room from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
The event featured a lineup of distinguished speakers, including, Mr. A. N. M. Safiqul Islam, Innovation and Commercialization Specialist at BHTPA who gave the welcome remarks. Dr. Ananya Raihan, Strategic Advisor of UIHP, gave a presentation introducing the core components of the University Innovation Hub Program. Special guests at the ceremony included Dr. Rameswar Debnath, Focal Point and Coordinator of the Khulna University Innovation Hub Program and Prof. Khan Golam Quddus, Registrar (In-Charge) of Khulna University.
The chief guest, Prof. Dr. Mosummath Hosna Ara, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Khulna University, addressed the audience, emphasizing the significance of the UIHP in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among university students. The closing remarks and vote of thanks were delivered by the chairperson, Mr. Abul Fatah Md. Baligur Rahman, Project Director of DEIEDP at BHTPA.
With the launch of online registration, students at Khulna University can now apply for the Certificate Course on Innovation and Entrepreneurships and Innovation Cohort, two specifically designed segments of the University Innovation Hub Program. These programs provide participants with the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and the digital ecosystem from experienced mentors and startup founders. Through hands-on training and knowledge sharing, students can gain the necessary experience to start their own ventures and enterprises.
The UIHP aims to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and establish innovation hubs in universities across Bangladesh to nurture innovative ideas, provide mentorship, and support the commercialization of promising projects. By launching the online registration at Khulna University, the program takes a significant step towards engaging students and faculty members in the innovation ecosystem.
