On Thursday, February 1, 2024, the University Innovation Hub Program hosted a pivotal mentoring session in Room HE 201 of the Mechanical Engineering Department from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The session was led by two distinguished mentors, Mr. Mahir Ashef and Mr. Md. Saiam Bin Islam, and aimed to equip participants with the practical tools and insights necessary for navigating the entrepreneurial landscape.
Mr. Mahir Ashef, with his rich background as a Data Storyteller, Startup Evangelist, and Business Intelligence Professional, shared his expertise in bridging the gap between technology and business strategy. His co-founder roles and regional leadership positions added significant depth to the discussions.
Mr. Md. Saiam Bin Islam brought his extensive experience in 3D Modeling, Microcontroller programming, and PCB designing. His involvement in over 50 innovative projects, including the hospital assistant Robot Project "Dr. Setara Begum", showcased the practical application of engineering principles in entrepreneurship.
The session focused on the 'Continuous Innovation Roadmap', 'Innovation Trinity', the practical application of 'Lean Canvas' for idea deconstruction, and rigorous 'Idea Stress Testing'. Participants left the session enriched with knowledge and ready to turn their innovative ideas into reality.
The educational nature of the session, coupled with a warm atmosphere and refreshments, made it a resounding success.
